We are looking for 2 Management Accountants to join our team, one on a Permanent basis and one on a fixed term appointment for 12 months. The Management Accountants are responsible for providing technical business partnering in all aspects of monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with an emphasis on process efficiency and continuous improvement alongside the production of robust management information to enable effective decision making. You will take full ownership of month-end reporting processes including the analysis and production of reporting packs, as well as leading the budgeting and forecasting exercises, receiving financial submissions, consolidating, and incorporating into the medium-term financial plan. You will work closely with internal and external customers and stakeholders, managing the relationships, providing financial advice, developing reporting, and supporting with tracking and modelling financials. In conjunction with our Financial Control team, you’ll help to produce accurate and timely end of year accounts, ensuring that financial controls are maintained, and undertake audit activities. You will have a keen eye for detail to ensure the integrity of the data held in Oracle (Fusion and EPM) and work closely with our Business System Support team to develop additional reporting and improve processes and models. You will have good knowledge of Managing Public Money and will ensure that the CNC are following these principles. To be successful in this role you should be AAT Qualified or be actively studying towards a professional qualification with a recognised Accountancy body (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with demonstrable experience in an accountancy environment, providing management reporting and facilitating budgeting and forecasting processes. You will be highly competent and experienced using Enterprise Resource Planning systems and MS Office applications, and be an advanced user of Excel to maintain, develop, and build financial models. You will be an effective communicator and confident in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
