Water Service Delivery are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators. As our Metering Operations Manager, you will be driving business performance through role modelling effective leadership to a team of circa 100 operational and office based colleagues; ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of all Metering related activity to both household customers, none household customers and retailers as a wholesaler service provider. This includes the metering reading programme as well as billing concerns and operational queries, ranging from leaks on customer supply to surveying for new meter installs. Drive high standards in health and safety, risk management, and control of work, ensuring full compliance with the Safety Policy. Improve customer satisfaction in metering activities through effective customer management and understanding customer expectations. Perform successfully against business plans, performance commitments, and SLAs, including delivering an industry-leading retailer reading contract. Ensure robust financial management and commercial awareness in all business decisions, articulating and demonstrating risks associated with capital funding. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service partners, and other water companies to benchmark, share best practices, and implement new technologies. Facilitate operational continuous improvement through change management activities. Highlight and manage strategic risks, ensuring they are updated on the strategic risk register.
