Why this role matters
The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager undertakes complex Financial Planning and Analysis activities for the Group/Business Unit, maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of accounting and reporting, in accordance with best practice corporate governance, and ensuring effective risk mitigation., whilst providing leadership for the specialism in alignment with Group business objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Lead the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
* Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Develop and maintain financial models to project company performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and achieve financial targets.
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial planning and analysis efficiency.
The skills you'll need
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience in reporting roles in large, complex organisations
* Demonstrable experience in understanding and challenging financial and non-financial performance, based on knowledge of internal and external factors
* Track record of improving and optimising processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
* Experience collaborating and business partnering with stakeholders across a wide range of functions to deliver the best outcomes and achieve common goals
* Decision making in ambiguous situations, using incomplete information or differing opinions (e.g. divided team loyalties or unclear deliverables)
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
