About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor to join our Head Office team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading by example and championing EHS on a day-to-day basis
* Promoting a safe and healthy work environment
* Serving as the point of contact for all EHS matters and advising those with delegated EHS responsibilities
* Taking a pragmatic approach to EHS challenges and solutions
You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and updating internal and external EHS policies and documentation in consultation with relevant personnel. Additionally, you will confidentially coordinate the health surveillance programme, analyse reports, and lead incident investigations in conjunction with responsible persons.
You will also produce and own content for a regular EHS Bulletin, oversee vehicle and driver fleet management, ensuring full compliance, administer existing safety accreditation, progress to ISO 14001 and 45001, manage internal and external training, liaise with Line Managers, lead monthly Training Meetings, monitor quality, oversee DSE, PPE and first aid management, consult on specific concerns, carry out assessments, develop and coordinate environmental management systems and arrangements, serve as Chief Fire Marshal, maintain the fire risk assessment, oversee fire safety checks, co-ordinate activities of the Fire Marshal Team, lead periodic Fire Marshal Meetings, undertake regular premises inspections, support department leads with remedial actions, ensure the Company meets its statutory requirements as regards environment, health, safety and welfare, ensure all periodic safety inspections, maintenance and testing is undertaken at appropriate intervals by internal and external providers, lead periodic EHS Committee Meetings, ensure timely completion of agreed actions, keep up to date with industry and legislative changes and advise Senior Management of how the Company needs to comply with new or updated legislation, implement agreed changes and ensure compliance, maintain the central accident book, record and report all incidents, monitor, investigate and ensure that appropriate remedial action is taken in all cases.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, has excellent communication skills, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should have a strong background in EHS, with experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, engineering or warehousing environment.
