This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving excellence and innovation in facilities management.
About the Role
As an Assistant General Services Manager, you will lead an onsite team and effectively manage the IFM operational delivery to ensure exemplary facilities services across the contract. You will support the General Services Manager in developing the site strategy while being responsible for contract performance and leading a management team to meet key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations across technical services, catering, and cleaning teams.
* Foster long-term, profitable relationships with clients while identifying new business opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.
* Drive operational excellence through transformation and change programs.
* Manage budgets, track financial performance, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
* Support audits and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
* Lead and engage teams, ensuring a culture of accountability and professional development.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in facilities management or integrated facilities services within a highly regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
* Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
* Knowledge of ISO55001 – Asset Management and CAFM systems (e.g., Global Maximo) .
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant qualifications in building engineering services, project management, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
