Project Manager Delivery Barrow in Furness (Hybrid) £72.57 per hour Umbrella OR £63 per hour PAYE Inside IR35 12 Month Contract initially. This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In either Barrow in Furness. 3 days per week on site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Role Description The individual in this role will report to the Platform Complex Systems Strategic Planning Lead to support the development of forward looking plans for the programme. The focus of the role will be in developing the detailed scope and plans for the next phase of the programme and input to a Customer proposal. The individual will have a level of experience in creating and shaping work breakdown structures to deliver outcomes, refining the detailed scope and bounding work packages with coherent assumptions, exclusions and dependencies whilst clearly articulating risks and opportunities. Core Duties Typical duties include (but are not limited to): Responsible for shaping the forward plans and schedule for the programme building on existing planning. Responsible for compiling a detailed and coherent work breakdown structure and associated assumptions, exclusions and dependencies. Reporting into the Strategic Planning Lead and Bid Manager on progress and forecasting against the bid plan. Will work as part of a team with no responsibility for line management. Knowledge: Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices). Able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions, but the norm is to follow established procedures. Good understanding of the Business environment for own project and team. Recognised as a Project Management practitioner. Ideally experience across the project lifecycle of both business winning and in-service support. Skills: Demonstrates good awareness of commercial practices within own project area. Developed communication and diplomacy skills. Able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan. Receives guidance from senior manager as needed. Qualifications: University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry preferred. Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management expected.
