Our client, a leading company in the power generation industry, is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Site Engineer for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will oversee the quality and certification of key mechanical components arriving and installed on-site in a power station environment. This pivotal role ensures that all mechanical installations meet stringent quality standards and project specifications. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Control: Inspection and Testing: Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure all mechanical components comply with project specifications and quality standards. Material Quality: Review and approve quality of materials delivered to the site, ensuring adherence to project requirements. Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), collaborating with contractors to implement corrective actions. Certification Compliance: Ensure all mechanical components have the necessary certifications and comply with relevant industry standards. Site Coordination: Design Communication: Act as a liaison between the design team and site operations, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation of design specifications. Component Installation Oversight: Monitor and inspect the installation of mechanical components, ensuring alignment with quality standards and project timelines. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive QA/QC records, including inspection reports, test results, and certification documents. Collaboration & Reporting: Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and third-party inspectors to facilitate quality assurance processes. Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on quality inspections, NCRs, and overall QA/QC activities to project management. Experience & Qualifications: Educational Background: HND or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Professional Experience: 5–10 years in a QA/QC role within the power generation, energy storage, or renewables sector, with a focus on mechanical components. Certifications: Relevant QA/QC certifications; familiarity with industry standards and regulations. Technical Proficiency: Experience with quality management systems and tools; proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
