Job Description
Sandwich Chef
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
£29700.00 per annum
Our Sandwich Chef is responsible for the following critical duties:
* Ensure efficient and effective operation of the sandwich section.
* Provide essential support to other Searcys catering points as required.
* Maintain the highest standards of service delivery at all times.
* Adhere to a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the understanding that evening services on a rotational basis are a crucial component of the role.
* Execute daily operations with precision and attention to detail.
* Contribute to the successful execution of additional functions as needed.
* Consistently deliver high-quality products for various functions and dining areas.
* Meticulously follow instructions from senior chefs to produce sandwich platters, fruit platters, and other services according to specified templates and standards.
* Implement effective waste control measures to optimise resource utilisation.
* Perform any other tasks as directed by Senior Management to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Sandwich Chef position possess:
* Proven track record of reliability and the capacity to work cohesively within a team structure
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
* Good verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Proficiency in knife skills and various food preparation techniques
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
* Experience working in a professional kitchen, with a focus on sandwich preparation
