You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and established team. The primary focus for this role is to work with schools, families, and other partner organisations to ensure children are able to access a full education which is appropriate to their needs, there by improving education outcomes. While a range of statutory duties must be met within this role, the main aim is to take a child-centred approach within this framework to broker support required to meet individual need. The role of Parent Adviser includes:Undertaking specific tasks in relation to children missing education and home education. Providing appropriate guidance and challenge to school leaders and governors to ensure statutory responsibilities are being met.Work closely with internal and external colleagues to provide high quality advice to parents on access issues through a variety of media, targeting in particular those who might have difficultly navigating the system About you:You will have strong communication and organisational skills.You will be taking calls from internal colleagues as well as members of the public, so a professional telephone manner is requiredIf you are proactive and enjoy working within a team, then this could be the ideal role for you.You will need to have empathy for the challenges that young people and their families experience In return we will offer you: Regular formal and informal support.
