My client, an established electronics manufacturing business, is currently looking to recruit a QHSE Engineer / Advisor to ensure delivery and maintenance of the company's QHSE Management System, associated documentation, and overall quality of a wide range of product types to meet customer expectations.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week over a 4-day week (Monday to Thursday).
It is ESSENTIAL candidates have the ability to work unrestricted in the UK without any future requirement for employer sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Verification / Validation that all product specifications have been met during the product manufacturing process.
2. Processing customer concerns through the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR / 8D) process to completion.
3. Identification, Investigation, and disposition of non-conforming material through the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) process.
4. Participate in supplier QBRs with the production of supporting Quality data to aid the monitoring & measurement of supply chain.
5. Monitor Supplier performance in relation to non-conforming product with regular internal / external communications, reviews, and follow-up.
6. Support and advise on product queries.
7. Perform Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) as required.
8. Reporting of QHSE Metrics / KPI's.
9. Assist in the production of System Management documentation and reviews.
10. Support NPI, product development, and 'first off' process approval.
11. Carry out internal process and system audits with action follow-up and progression to closure (ISO9001 / ISO45001 / ISO14001).
12. Calibration management/control, including liaising with our external provider.
13. Assist in the implementation of process improvement activities.
14. Liaising with various stakeholders regarding the processing, evaluation, and reporting on customer returns.
Key Qualification / Experience Requirements:
1. Educated to HNC or equivalent level in an Engineering/Quality related discipline.
2. Excellent knowledge and awareness of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001, ISO45001).
3. Ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis, identify corrective and preventative measures, and monitor effectiveness.
4. Ability to conduct audits on Business systems and processes to meet ISO standards.
5. Ability to prepare, analyze, and report quality statistics internally and externally at all levels.
6. A NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. An understanding of quality improvement programmes and IPC electronic assembly knowledge would be advantageous.
9. An understanding of electronics or proven electronics experience.
10. Good MRP knowledge e.g. Javelin, SAP, BaaN etc.
