Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
Newham University Hospital is part of Barts Health NHS Trust which is the largest Trust in England.
Currently, there is a vacancy for a highly motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse within the Endoscopy unit at Newham Hospital. This is a full-time, fixed-term position, 12 months maternity cover, starting in June 2025.
The unit is an impressive Endoscopy facility boasting two procedure rooms and a brand new decontamination unit. Patients are treated for both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the facilities by a dedicated competent multi-skilled workforce, who put patient-focused care at the forefront.

The candidate must be willing to continue with professional development and be aware of the Trust’s mission and values.
