We are recruiting for a part-time (3 days a week) Communications Officer position at the Marlowe Theatre to join our Audiences team. This is a job-share position, working in tandem with another part-time Communications Officer to share the role and responsibilities of the job.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Communications or PR and the ability to plan and implement internal and external communications campaigns. The day-to-day activity within the role could include writing and distributing press releases, organising live broadcast interviews, and leading on the creation of marketing assets for different shows at one time. Therefore, we need an excellent verbal and written communicator with well-honed project management skills.
This is an exciting time for the Marlowe Theatre as we look ahead to major capital projects in Canterbury and producing large-scale plays with an eye to tour nationally, alongside our impressive received-work programme of West End musicals and high-profile tours that we bring to Kent audiences. The ideal candidate will be up to the challenge of ensuring the Marlowe Theatre retains a strong reputation locally and grows our reputation nationally and in our industry.
It is also essential that the candidate is excited to work collaboratively within the job-share and is committed to making the role work for both parties. We want to work with people who are passionate about their work, resilient in the face of any challenge that comes their way, and supportive of their colleagues.
