Here at Textbook Teachers, we are recruiting Primary Teaching Assistants to help support our local schools across Spalding (PE6, PE9, PE10, PE11). In this role, we require you to support the class teacher. One benefit of becoming a supply Teaching Assistant is the flexibility. Here at Textbook Teachers, we understand and take into consideration a happy and healthy work-life balance.
We aim to supply dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants to our schools on either a day-to-day or long-term basis. You can work a variety of days that suit you best. It can vary from 1 day a week to 5 days.
It would be beneficial to have:
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a UK classroom
* Strong communication and interaction skills
* Be reliable and self-motivated
* Committed to Safeguarding Procedures

Local SEND/SEMH Assistants Needed in Lincoln!

Textbook Teachers Ltd are looking for experienced and driven Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join our team in Lincoln. Whether you have a long history of care work or have worked previously in schools as a SEND assistant, we want to hear from you!
* Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm
* Pay: £85.00 to £110.00 per day (dependent on experience)
* Location: Lincoln (LN1-LN6), and surrounding areas
Role Responsibilities:
Supporting Individual Students
* Works one-to-one or in small intervention groups with pupils with SEND/SEMH needs
* Follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) of students to ensure all needs are being met
* Emotional support is imperative to the development of students and is highly encouraged to improve confidence and motivation
Classroom Support
* Helping the teacher in managing the classroom and providing instructions to students
* Modify and adapt activities to suit individual student needs
Behaviour Management
* Supporting students in managing behaviour through strategies such as positive reinforcement, de-escalation techniques, and more
* Provide guidance to students in managing anxiety, frustration, and helping them re-engage with their learning
Collaboration with Staff and Students
* Working closely with school staff, such as SENDCo and pastoral staff, to ensure student’s needs are met
* Assist students in managing transitions, such as moving through lessons, end of day routine, etc.
* Promoting a safe and calming working environment where students feel valued and accepted
Qualifications:
* GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
* Experience with SEND/SEMH childcare
* Any relevant degree in Education and/or SEND is encouraged; however, not essential
* Any relevant SEND/SEMH diploma at Level 2 or above is encouraged; however, not essential
* Specialised training, e.g., Team Teach, is encouraged; however, not essential
