AALTO is now looking for an implementation specialist for FP&A systems to join us on an 8 month contract working in a hybrid capacity in Farnborough, UK.
AALTO is producer of the Zephyr - a pioneer High-Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) aircraft) and current sector lead with most completed hours in the stratosphere AND with numerous payloads and configurations. Zephyr provides a more affordable service solution than satellites, with the additional benefit of increased mobility as we can relocate in lieu of needing to deploy additional satellites.
This person will come in to lead a critical project focused on transforming our financial planning and analysis capabilities. They will play a key role in designing and implementing a new FP&A tool that will streamline our processes and enhance decision-making across the organization. This high-profile project offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business.
We think this is a great opportunity right now because our new CEO has come in with a big focus on automation tools and lots of support to our Finance teams.
Role will be hybrid initially, with site presence preferred for the person to get to know everyone, and then after that position can be predominantly remote, but there will be in-person demos of the new planning tool to suppliers with presence required.
Role Responsibilities:
* FP&A Tool Implementation - be hands on and lead the end-to-end process of scoping, implementing, designing company specific test scripts, and coordinating / leading supplier demonstrations - more than just a project manager!
* Scoping and defining the boundaries and requirements of the Request for Proposal (RFP)
* Ensuring the selected tool effectively supports existing FP&A processes and integrates with other key systems (Dynamics 365)
* Collaborate with finance and non-financial stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful adoption of the new tool
* Focusing on integrating production, warehouse inventory, and other modules into finance systems and tools
* Ensuring accurate costing and accounting
* Provide financial expertise for the implementation of a new timesheet applications and integration with accurate costing and reporting
* Working closely with internal stakeholders (HR, IT, Finance) and external suppliers
* Communicating project updates and findings to senior management / CEO level
Experience and Qualifications:
* Proven experience leading FP&A system implementations with strong IT awareness
* Designing test scripts for specific companies
* Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis processes
* Experience with ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365.
* Knowledge of PLM systems and their integration with finance
* Experience with timesheet applications and project costing
* Knowledge of the manufacturing and or aviation industry would be great to see!
