About the Opportunity
AXIOM is one of the DSA alliance partners and is an unincorporated Joint Venture (JV) made up of four major engineering contracting companies each with complementary capabilities and skills. The members have excellent nuclear pedigrees, demonstrated expertise and effective track records across the UK nuclear fleet and related nuclear industries.
The extensive capacity and capabilities of the AXIOM alliance provide the essential expertise that is crucial to achieving both the designs of the alliance and the wider goals of Sellafield Ltd and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).
One of our project teams in Warrington requires experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to provide leadership and technical support to several packages of work, including stakeholder and sub-contract management, ensuring efficient delivery and performance against expected costs and schedules.
We would like to speak to candidates who are capable of the following:
* Checking design drawings and documentation at all applicable stages of the Sellafield Gated Process, in accordance with the SL Checking and Approvals Process.
* Leading design delivery with small internal teams and managing the same with respect to external contracts.
* Performing plant configuration walkdowns to confirm and accurately record the plant baseline, in support of onward design and assurance.
* Determining Engineering Requirements and provide underpinning for the Validation and Verification.
* Professionally representing the project team within the supply chain, including attendance at factory or customer acceptance tests, as delegated by the Responsible Engineer.
* Engaging other disciplines and stakeholders at key lifecycle points, including an awareness of basic project management fundamentals.
* Providing clear, confident presentation of relevant deliverables to all stakeholders attending Single and Multidiscipline design reviews, as required by the integrated assurance plan.
Minimum Requirements:
* Demonstrable understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment, including safety, design, and operation of plant, such as Nuclear Installations Act, Site Licence Conditions, HASAWA, EWR, CDM, LOLER, PED, IRR.
* Minimum RQF Level 4/5 with substantial relevant experience OR RQF Level 6/7 with demonstrable experience in highly-regulated industries.
* Degree in a related engineering discipline (Electrical & Electronic / Controls & Instruments).
