Yellowstone has a relatively compact site and it is critical to ensure a fast turnaround of product is supported through your judgement and experience.
Main Purpose of the Operations Coordinator:
You will be working as part of a team within the company, managing and ensuring all paperwork for transport and bookings is adequately maintained on a daily basis. The position is key to ensuring daily communication between materials coming into site, leaving the site and customer liaison.
The position is a varied role and requires liaison with other members of the team in operations to ensure compliance with the site Permit and efficient use of the plant.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support the Operations Manager in all bookings of Inbound and Outbound waste. Monitoring the phones and emails, dealing with suppliers, customers and enquiries or directing calls to the correct colleague.
* Confirm customer quotations and generate relevant paperwork for yard/driver i.e. Con Note, Waste Declaration.
* Maintain and update computer/manual records.
* Create Purchase Orders where requested and authorised to do so.
* Undertake any site inductions as required in conjunction with the Health & Safety Manager.
* Meet and greet visitors to site if required.
* Update traffic schedule.
* Create and maintain database of disposal routes for Yellowstone.
* Daily discussion with Managing Director, Site Manager & Operations Manager on all scheduled outbound and inbound loads.
* Liaise with Site Manager on current packaged waste stock and processing plan.
* Manage the Garage round in liaison with Slicker.
* Ensure the Peter Cooper waste collection requirements are managed.
* Check and record drivers are complying with working time directive to ensure the average 48-hour weekly week is not exceeded.
* Ensure drivers download their Digital Tacho Cards every Friday/Monday, and this is updated to Smart Analysis. Print off Driver Weekly Infringement reports and present to drivers to obtain signatures. Follow-up any infringements with management as necessary.
* Check drivers defect reports and follow-up any maintenance requirements to ensure drivers vehicles are road worthy.
* Arrange 6 weekly inspections for all vehicles and ensure any defects are fixed.
* Ensure Drivers are equipped with and use appropriate PPE and staff uniform to present a professional image to the drivers.
* Complete and distribute the Daily Update by 1700 Hrs.
Other Responsibilities:
* Comply with Health & Safety requirements: as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc.
* Actively seek to improve safety culture.
* Report any H & S issues/accidents/near misses to yard supervisor immediately.
* Attend training as required by Yellowstone to maintain personal qualification/competence. Comply with the company equal opportunities policy and promote equality.
* Maintain a clean office environment.
* Any other duties as required by the Site Manager.

In order to fulfil the role, Yellowstone Environmental Solutions will assist with a structured training programme to provide the following qualifications under the YES training agreement:
* Good customer service/telephone manner with clients.
* Excellent communication skills with drivers, yard staff and other colleagues.
* Numerate and literate to process paperwork associated with the role.
* Keen to learn new skills and develop own knowledge.
* Must be able to work as part of a team as well as individually.
* IT skills in Word and Excel.
