Advanced Clinical Physiologist (Neurophysiology)

The Clinical Neurophysiology team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Advanced Physiologist / Clinical Scientist within Neurophysiology. The department provides a district wide service to Exeter, South Devon, North Devon and Somerset (under SLA).
Services are provided at the following sites:
* Royal Devon University NHS Foundation Trust- Eastern & Northern sites
* Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
Provide a comprehensive range of routine, specialised and highly specialised neurophysiologic investigations, including non-routine and complex procedures on adults, paediatrics and neonates in both dedicated and non-dedicated environments such as Wards, HDU, ITU and the Neonatal Unit.
Responsible for the calibration of neurophysiological equipment prior to performing diagnostic tests.
Analyse a wide range of routine and complex investigations, including preparation of a full technical report of the findings. The report may include a clinical opinion on selected investigations, according to departmental guidelines. Specialise in one or more advanced techniques:
* Intraoperative monitoring
Provide verbal clinical opinion on investigations to referring clinician as required.
Participate in the training and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees in clinical neurophysiology and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in audit and R&D programmes relevant to the discipline.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
