The Role
As an Administrator in our Bookings Department you will:
* Deal with all administration tasks relating to the outpatient bookings department including booking appointments, registering patients, liaising with consultants to confirm occupancy and process annual leave, managing online booking requests and booking outpatient theatres.
* Handle all enquires efficiently and effectively, providing excellent customer service.
* Ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format.
* Ensure that work is carried out to required standard and within agreed working practices and procedures, prioritising the workload as necessary.
* Be responsible for the build of clinics on the EPR system to reflect current occupancy.
* Run daily reports and action any tasks necessary.
* Have good communication/interpersonal skills.
* Be a good team player.
* Have the ability to work independently.
The Person
To succeed as an Administrator you will:
* Have the ability to manage, appraise and interpret the right data, and to present it in a timely and professional manner.
* Have good IT and keyboard skills, requiring some experience with Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook.
* Have experience within an administrative or customer facing environment.
* Have the ability and confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including consultants, secretaries and patients.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, with a positive can-do attitude.
* Stay calm under pressure with the ability to multi-skill.
