Governance Manager Newent, Gloucestershire Up to £50,000 per annum Permanent Full time (37 hours per week) Come make a real difference as our Governance Manager Everyone should have a warm, safe, affordable home. As our Governance Manager, you’ll help us make sure we are doing everything we can to make this a reality for thousands of families in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. Working with our Assistant Director of Governance and Assurance to ensure that our compliance and governance are maintained to a high standard, you will support the success of our Group Board, committees and the Executive Leadership Team. You will take responsibility for planning high-level meetings as well as managing accurate record keeping and annual compliance reporting, keeping our teams and external partners up to date with accurate information. As a line manager, you will support our Risk and Assurance Officer and Governance Assistant to succeed in their roles. What you’ll bring to our team An ambassador for the organisation, you’ll develop strong relationships with our partners, stakeholders, board members and customers. You will use your skills, experience and understanding of governance, legislation and regulation, to drive effectiveness and continually seek improvements in our Board and governance practices. What we’re looking for Experience of company secretarial or board support experience in a substantial commercial or not-for-profit business or regulated company. High levels of attention to detail. Excellent planning, scheduling and coordination skills. Good influencing and negotiating skills. Team focussed with a flexible and solutions focussed approach, able to cope with unexpected and varied demands. Strong verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills High level IT literacy and keen adopter of digital technology and flexible working methods Strong integrity and personal values Qualifications Governance or company secretarial qualifications are desirable Proactive focus on Continuous Professional Development (CPD) evidenced - leadership qualifications are desirable
