Job Title: Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist Banding : 6/7 Location : London Start: ASAP Duration: 5months Rate : £ 2 8 £ 3 4 Working hours: Monday – Frid ay We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in London. This role involves providing specialist clinical expertise in the assessment, treatment, and management of language, communication, and swallowing problems in adult clients within a tertiary setting, including neurorehabilitation. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based interventions, evaluate outcomes, and maintain associated records as an autonomous practitioner. What will your responsibilities be: As an Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist, you will demonstrate highly specialist knowledge and clinical skills in the assessment and management of patients with language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will provide interpretative assessment techniques and interventions for patients with tracheostomies and those requiring instrumental procedures such as videofluoroscopy. Your role will include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, you will provide education and support to patients and their caregivers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of therapy services. Qualifications and Experiences: HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist Experience in neurology and progressive neurological conditions Training in FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) and video fluoroscopy (highly beneficial) Highly specialist clinical skills in the assessment and management of language, communication, and swallowing disorders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in using relevant software and equipment Why work with Pulse?
