Your role will include supporting patients undergoing emergency procedures, elective management, and caring for families experiencing bereavement. You will also be required to facilitate the daily routine of a busy surgical ward and provide full support to our multi-disciplinary team. An exciting opportunity have arisen for a Band 5 NMC Registered Nurse within our friendly and hard-working team here on Ward A23 Emergency Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy unit, based on the QMC campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
A23 is a 16 bedded emergency/elective inpatient ward with a clinical triage and outpatient/day case management area. We care for women from multi- cultural and diverse backgrounds experiencing gynaecological concerns and those who could be experiencing complications in early pregnancy up to 20 weeks gestation. The area provides 24/7, 7 days per week service. Mixed shifts will be required, days and nights. Full and Part-time hours are available.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, motivated, caring and reliable health care professionals. Although previous experience within gynaecology and early pregnancy is not essential, if you have worked as a student on placement or in a similar area this will support your application. You will need to have excellent communication and inter personal skills and willing to train if not already completed venepuncture and cannulation. It is essential you are empathetic to the emotional needs of the women and their families attending A23
