Pearson Finance Services (PFS) is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis for our Assessments & Qualifications (A&Q) Division—one of Pearson’s largest divisions, with a turnover of approximately £1.5bn per year. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic financial insights and support key decision-making in a dynamic, global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead FP&A activities including month-end reporting, annual operating planning, and rolling forecasts.
* Manage, coach, and develop a team of 24 finance professionals, ensuring efficient resource management.
* Deliver high-quality financial analysis, identifying key value drivers, risks, and opportunities.
* Partner with senior business leaders, providing actionable insights to support strategic objectives.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing processes and reporting accuracy.
* Oversee external audit deliverables and maintain strong financial controls.
About You:
* Extensive experience in finance leadership or business performance management roles.
* Qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with strong accounting and financial control knowledge.
* Proven people management experience, with a track record of leading and developing teams.
* Expertise in financial ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong communication and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
