This role is for a Band 5 Qualified Mental Health Nurse for a full-time 37.5 hours over 5 days a week (working hours and days can be flexible in the hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday).
The role will be based at the Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Community Mental Health team, which is a growing and dynamic team with a range of multi-disciplinary professionals. Do you want to demonstrate and develop your autonomous skills as well as some leadership skills around leading on the depot, clozapine, and physical health checks for the team? You will help support other staff who can undertake and support in this role, having oversight of the clinics that are being run as well as completing them yourself as part of the job role.

Main Duties of the Job
* Be the lead on Clozapine, Depot, and physical health clinics.
* Administer depot injections to all of the patients open to the team for depot medications, which will include administering in our on-site clinic room or outreach in patients' homes for those who may not be able to come to a trust base.
* Clozapine clinic will entail the post holder undertaking 4 weekly blood monitoring for those patients on Clozapine medication, continual monitoring, and ordering of the regular clozapine medication for patients.
* Conduct regular weekly physical health clinics for patients under the service that require physical health checks, including bloods, ECGs, height, weight, and BMI checks.
* Report the physical health checks back to the GP if there are any concerns.
* You may also be required to support other colleagues in the team on two-person visits; you will not be holding a caseload but would be expected to help and support colleagues as needed.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Health Nurse with NMC.
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at the point of offer.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
* Ability to work alone and as a member of a team.
* Ability to recognize own limits.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of current mental health issues.
* Knowledge of risk assessment.
* Knowledge of common medications.
Experience
* One year’s experience working with people with mental health (this can be pre-qualification experience).
* Venepuncture trained.
