Responsibilities
as our Lecturer in Aviation, Travel & Tourism will include:
1. Contributing to the development and delivery of all our Aviation, Travel & Tourism courses
2. Contributing to high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods based on current best available practice
3. Creating an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment
4. Providing academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures
5. Participating in the Colleges appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate
6. Scheduled teaching, student assignments and tutorials
7. Distance learning support for groups of students
8. Preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans and assignment schedules
9. Preparation of learning materials and student assignments
As our Lecturer in Aviation, Travel & Tourism, youll ideally have:
10. Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years.
11. Graduate in relevant subject area.
12. Minimum Level 3 or Graduate in the relevant subject area, such as L3 BTEC Travel & Tourism
13. Vocational expertise within the Travel & Tourism and Aviation Industry, including Air Cabin Crew.
14. Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including word, excel, powerpoint.
15. Attendance at college events ie open evenings including outside of normal working hours
