Job Title: EUC IT Desktop Support Technician
Job Type & Location: Onsite, 5 days a week (40 hrs/week), Northampton, UK
Job Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience providing IT Infrastructure field support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and OS issues, ensuring compliance with hardware warranty and security requirements.
* Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and peripherals, as well as desktop applications.
* Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups; ability to perform site activities under instruction.
* Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
* Expertise in desk-side support and PC break/fix, with basic administration of Windows, Mac, or Linux OS.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
* Support for peripherals and networking hardware under 'Smart Hands' capabilities.
* Ability to troubleshoot systems and network issues using deductive reasoning.
* Experience in repeat call analysis and problem management.
* Excellent communication skills with clients and management.
* Ability to meet deadlines, proactive, and work with urgency.
* Preferably an Associate Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification; vendor certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, Client) are a plus.
* Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
* Good customer management skills, communication skills, and ability to interact at different levels.
* Driven, result-oriented, passionate about work.
* Ability to work independently or in a team and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
* Flexible work schedule availability.
