Job summary
Worcestershire Community Dental services is a county-wide service seeing patients on a referral basis. Our patients have additional needs such as medically compromised conditions, phobias, special needs, autism, and looked-after adults and children. We are looking for a qualified dental nurse who is a friendly, reliable, and understanding individual who wants to make a difference in the dental care we deliver to our patients. We cover dentistry in patients' homes, hospitals, and clinic-based settings. We offer treatment via sedation, local, and general anaesthetics. You will work alongside consultants, specialists, and highly experienced dental clinicians, therapists, nurses, and receptionists. In our most recent CQC evaluation, the community dental team was rated outstanding for caring.
Our benefits range from generous annual leave to access to NHS discount sites:
* 27-33 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Highly regarded NHS Pension Scheme
* A supportive, structured induction programme for all new starters
* Professional development and training opportunities
* Health and wellbeing including occupational health service, access to physiotherapy, and priority access to mental health services
Main duties of the job
Your primary responsibility will be to provide clinical support in a wide range of treatments for a broad client base. Extended duties would be a distinct advantage but are not essential. We would like you to have a welcoming and positive approach for our patients and be an upbeat and reliable member of the team, able to work well in challenging situations and maintain excellent cross-infection control.
We are offering full or part-time hours; our clinical sessions run Monday to Friday from 8:45 AM onwards.
