Head of MFL – Academy in Nottingham The PWR team at Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted-graded ‘Good’ Academy in Nottingham to recruit a Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) for a permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious MFL specialist to lead a dedicated department and play a key role in shaping the language curriculum. Key Details: Location: Nottingham Start Date: Easter or February half term (dependent on candidate availability) Salary: MPS/UPS TLR 2b The Role: Leading and managing the MFL department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning Teaching French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching may be available for the right candidate) Developing the curriculum and promoting the value of language learning within the academy Supporting and mentoring MFL teachers, ensuring high levels of student engagement and attainment Working closely with senior leadership to implement whole-school initiatives and drive improvement The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification Have experience teaching MFL at secondary level, with a specialism in French and/or Spanish Be an inspiring leader with experience in curriculum development and department management Have a track record of improving student outcomes and fostering a passion for languages Be committed to professional development and the wider school community Why Join This Academy?
