Main duties of the job Provide a high standard of Occupational Therapy within the service. Provide specialist assessment, treatment plans and interventions to Stroke and ABI patient in both patient's homes, and community hospital setting using a variety of treatment provision methods. Participate in the development of the Service in the community and within the Community hospital bedded environments. Provide advice regarding the rehabilitation management of patients to families, carers and other members of the MDT. Provide support, guidance and training to Rehabilitation assistants, Assistant Practitioners, Band 5 therapists and students. Responsibility for a caseload of complex patients within both the community and the community hospital bedded environments. Act as Clinical Supervisor and undertake Managerial Supervision, including Appraisal, for Rehabilitation Assistants and Band 5 Occupational Therapists Work their hours over 7 days, including out of hours, weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
