This is a fantastic opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a 5 vet team in the Wigan area.
This is a 2 centre group with a fantastic, welcoming and supportive team, all of whom have their own professional interests, and who are supported to progress to Certificate level where possible.
The premises are both light and spacious and are fully equipped with x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, tonometry, in-house labs and bipolar diathermy. Both surgeries have dedicated ventilation systems with positive pressure operating rooms to provide a healthy working environment. The caseload is varied and although they predominantly offer first opinion care with routine and some ECC cases, they do have a growing advanced caseload and welcome visiting imaging specialists. You would work from their eco-friendly building which is the first purpose built sustainable Vet practice in the UK. Your health and wellbeing is very important to the team and they try to offer a flexible, good work life balance.
The rota consists of:
1. 4 days per week
2. 1 in 4 Saturdays
3. No Sundays
4. No on call
The role is a 1st opinion surgical and medical role in a supportive, friendly practice. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic Vet Surgeon with some post qualification experience preferably. You will enjoy first opinion duties, but they are keen to consider supporting professional interests where possible. A good sense of humour and a good ability to work in a tight knit supportive team.
If you are looking to join a practice with good staff retention, a good work life balance, a passion for high standards of care and a pleasant working atmosphere, then our client would be keen to hear from you.
The practice is located close to Manchester city centre and so you will have all the wonders that Manchester has to offer on your doorstep but can still enjoy a quieter pace of life surrounded by beautiful countryside too. Manchester airport is also only a short drive away.
In addition to a salary of up to £65k pa dependent on experience, there is a relocation allowance of up to £5k if required. You can also expect plenty of benefits, including:
