This is shop floor engineering, permanent position of which has become a requirement to support our client's continued growth.
Looking for an experienced and competent Electrical & Mechanical Fitter with the skills in electrical and mechanical installation and wiring in accordance with regulations and specifications. Focused on quality engineering precision.
Salary: £28,000 per annum.
Working Hours: 8.30am -5.30pm (45-minute lunch break) Mon to Thurs and 8am - 1.30pm Friday
Role Responsibilities will include:
Wiring in accordance with regulations and electrical & mechanical engineering drawings/work to samples. Install, test, commission, maintain and build electrical systems and components.
Electrical Assembly
Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments.
Locate and repair faults in electrical power supply equipment.
Carry out mechanical fitting and relevant assembly work.
Read and interpret electrical wiring and circuit diagrams, and assembly drawings.
Mechanical Assembly
Build mechanical laser components and coolers using information given.
Use the appropriate methods and techniques to assemble the components to the required standard following appropriate diagrams and instructions.
Day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Build to sample/build to verbal instructions.
- Power supply wiring and construction.
- Wiring looms.
- Mechanical duties, such as: cutting, drilling, tapping.
- Cooler build.
- Brazing (if required).
- Self-inspection of all work.
- Maintain documentation of process.
- Stores/parts kitting.
- Stock-take duties (if required).
- Work as a team when needed
