Our client is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join their team based in Altens. This role involves conducting return inspections, testing, and re certification of Units. Key Responsibilities: Inspection & Testing: Perform return inspections on various equipment. Visually assess the condition of CCUs, lifting slings, shackles, and other lifting equipment. Maintenance & Repairs: Remove damaged slings and shackles from CCUs and install replacements as necessary. Inspect incoming goods, including slings and shackles, and store them properly on racks. Perform minor repairs and maintenance, as well as aesthetic improvements on equipment. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily records of equipment inspections and testing. Prepare and complete Non-Destructive Testing reports. NDT Testing: Conduct NDT testing on lifting lug welds. Customer Site Visits: Travel to both onshore and offshore customer locations to inspect and test their lifting equipment. Use of Technology: Update inspection results and records using a company-provided handheld device. Qualifications & Experience: Strong work ethic with high attention to detail. Good physical fitness, as the role is physically demanding. Certification to perform multiple Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) of welds and casts, including MPI, LP, ET, and UT techniques. Familiarity with industry standards such as DNV2.7-1, DNV2.7-3, EN12079, and LOLER. Minimum B1 Forklift License. LEEA Foundation Certification.
