Job Description:
My client is looking for a driven Geo-environmental Consultant to support the expanding Land Quality Team. Within this team, you will be working alongside geotechnical, engineering, and ground investigation specialists to provide technical excellence and sustainable solutions to our clients across a broad range of industries and developments.
Land Quality covers many topics, ranging from contaminated land risk assessments, ground gas design and verification, remediation options appraisals and strategies, material and soil waste management, permits, and more.
The position is primarily based out of Manchester, but applications for Northampton will be considered for the right person. The role will be predominantly office-based. A degree of fieldwork will be expected as part of the role, and the amount of fieldwork required would vary depending on the type and scale of the projects. As a guide, it is envisaged that at least 80% of the role will be office-based.

As a consultant, you will join the experienced team where continued professional development, training, and mentoring are integral to work. You would be expected to work across the breadth of the four main land contamination specialties (health, waters, permanent gases, and vapours) and be supported to work towards chartership and relevant RSoBRA accreditations to support your areas of interest and specialties as they develop.
Experience required:
1. Minimum 3 years in relevant industry
2. A relevant degree
3. A good understanding of land contamination risk assessment
4. Proactive and positive attitude
5. Problem-solving ability
6. Being inquisitive and with a desire to learn
7. Good communication skills (written and verbal)
8. Full and clean driving license
