GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced PMLD Support Assistant to work in special schools in Newham. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Prior experience in an SEN setting is preferable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with PMLD, both one-to-one and in small groups.
* Assist in implementing individual learning plans and adapting resources to meet students' needs.
* Help manage physical, emotional, and sensory needs in the classroom environment.
* Support teachers in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning atmosphere for all students.
Requirements:
* Prior experience working in an SEN setting is preferable.
* Understanding of the specific needs of students with PMLD and experience in providing personal care.
* Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and resilience.
* A sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
