We are now seeking a talented & driven Commercial Manager who is passionate about driving commercial success to join and enhance our team.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Offering flexibility of remote work, with the expectation of being in the office a couple of days per week to effectively manage the commercial team, the Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all activity within the commercial team, and the selling of products and services to new customers.
The Commercial Manager will work with the Account Management team and supported by the Managing Director to develop commercial strategies that will focus on growth & profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Focus on new business partnerships, creating new leads and generating new business
* Quotation creation and management and in support of the Managing director, develop and manage budgets and forecasts
* Prepare & present fortnightly sales activities at group business development meetings and represent the commercial department at monthly senior leadership meetings & growth meetings
* Contract Management including variations, claims and disputes and ensure all contractual and customer documentation is accurate, up to date and stored correctly
* Identify potential commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies
* Review and develop pricing strategies for products and services and create external and group commercial strategies, and manage account management plans
* Lead, train, and mentor the commercial team
* Work to targets and KPI’s, while developing and reporting on work winning team KPI’s
* Site visits to check on workforce, liaise with the customers and seek upselling opportunities
* Assisting with regular social media content and development of brand reputation
* Manage and organise hospitality events, networking events & exhibitions
* Ensuring CRM system is kept accurate with all commercial activities
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Financial acumen with a strong understanding of financial management and budgeting and experience in contractual management and skills in negotiation
* Ability to identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks
* Experience in developing and managing commercial strategies, account management plans and KPI reporting
* Previous experience of team management and the ability to cultivate a collaborative atmosphere that drives work winning
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to network and build relationships
* Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges
* Familiar with CRM systems
