AWE is looking for an Onsite P6 Proficient Senior Project Planner for ASTRAEA to support its delivery of a range of complex and interesting projects. Salary starting from £48,030 this is negotiable based on experience Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke – 100% Onsite working is required for this role Introducing The Role: We use P6 at AWE so proficiency with this is really important. As a Senior Project Planner, you will work within a project controls team, on a broad spectrum of projects within ASTRAEA, in a highly regulated environment. Your day as a Senior Project Planner with AWE could look like this: As a senior planner demonstrate the use of solid planning methodology and the tools to provide advice, support and development supporting the programme/project teams through the project lifecycle from concept to delivery, acting as the specialist in all elements schedule. Working with Project Managers and some innovative specialists, to guide and develop them on project control best practice. This will involve working on but not exclusive to schedule management, development of business cases, change control, risk and opportunity management, development of planners and project controls professionals, schedule review, communicating data to various levels from Senior management. As a Senior Project Planner, we are looking for individuals who are proficient in the following - Including extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 Experience in programme / project planning including best practice planning methodology and the use of the P6 and other software packages required to support this, Risk and opportunity management including confidence modelling processes and techniques Understanding and knowledge of all disciplines within project controls Good communication and presentation skills A passion to develop others in the benefits of planning Prioritising and working to challenging timescales Coaching, developing, and inspiring a team Knowledge of NEC ¾ Contracts and the role of the schedule If you are an experienced Senior Project Planner who is proficient with P6 and you feel that this role and AWE are a great fit for you, please go ahead and apply, we’d love to receive your application.
