Overall responsibility for managing the production unit performance. The main responsibilities include:
1. Management of production cells within designated production unit.
2. Ensuring production processes are in line with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
3. Management of production team members including recruitment, manning levels, coaching & development, daily communication of production requirements and expectations, setting objectives and evaluation of performance.
4. Management of Health, Safety and Environment and implementation of safety guidelines within production area.
5. Management of product quality, costs and customer delivery for production unit.
6. Ensuring that all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly – ensure standardised work applied.
7. Regularly checking machine and process check-points to ensure safe and efficient production.
8. Accurately completing production data and analysing KPI’s to identify improvements.
9. Implementation of continuous improvement, improvement ideas systems and lean manufacturing methodologies through Faurecia Excellence System – problem solving groups, workshops (5s, TPM, 6QB, SMED, Hoshin…).
Person Specification
Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience – previous experience of production management in an automotive manufacturing environment, strong interpersonal and communications skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, passionate to coach and develop teams.
