We are looking for a passionate and empathetic person to support in delivering a Women’s Responsive Liaison and Diversion Service.
In partnership with Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, The Nelson Trust are delivering a gender responsive service for young women, aged 16-18, identified as vulnerable who have come into contact with the criminal justice system from point of arrest. This role will involve project development, partnership building and one to one advocacy and support for young women who are referred to the service by the Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Team.
The post involves providing initial assessment, advocacy, advice, and signposting support to women to break down barriers to achieve change.
You will need to demonstrate good communication skills working with clients and professionals and will have a track record of developing effective partnerships with specialist organisations in the local area as well as a commitment to making a difference to women’s lives.
Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
