Job description Role: Compliance Manager Location: Outskirts of Eastleigh Salary: Up to £60k (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Are you passionate about compliance, risk management, and creating a culture of excellence? Join a forward-thinking insurance company as their Compliance Manager. This key role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting the company’s growth through strong governance and customer-focused initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess regulatory changes, updating compliance policies and ensuring they are effectively communicated across the business. Review and approve business-critical documents, including marketing materials, financial promotions, and presentations, to meet regulatory standards. Develop, implement, and manage the Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring robust internal systems and controls. Maintain the company Risk Register, conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place. Oversee the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, ensuring the organization is prepared for potential disruptions. Handle customer complaints, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement actionable insights to improve processes and outcomes. Deliver compliance training programs, including new starter inductions, ensuring all staff remain competent and informed. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to embed a culture of compliance across all departments. Conduct due diligence and oversight for third-party relationships, including introducers and appointed representatives. Lead initiatives related to Consumer Duty, including product governance and fair value assessments. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: You MUST have strong understanding of retail insurance products and a solid knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations, including ICOBS, SYSC, GDPR, and more. Proven ability to analyse and interpret data to drive decision-making and implement effective change. Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Commercial awareness of evolving regulatory trends and a focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes.
