Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm)
Salary: £37,200 - £45,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Quality Assurance Assessor to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding practices across our Initial Accommodation (IA) and Dispersed Accommodation (DA) sites in London. You will play a crucial role in monitoring, evaluating, and improving safeguarding services, ensuring compliance with customer and internal quality assurance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safeguarding Quality Assurance:
* Conduct reviews and quality assurance assessments of safeguarding practices within IA and DA sites.
* Manage an assigned portfolio of safeguarding responsibilities within London.
* Ensure consistent delivery of safeguarding services across the London region.
* Conduct monthly meetings with subcontractors and Operations Team Leaders to monitor safeguarding issues, track referrals, and perform quality assurance checks.
* Provide guidance and support to the wider organization on safeguarding matters.
* Escalate any identified risks to the Regional DSL for mitigation.
* Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure the customer's quality assurance framework is effectively implemented.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality assurance records, reflecting both strengths and areas for improvement.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Area Operations Team Leaders, Housing Officers, and Hotel Managers regarding safeguarding.
* Make referrals to the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and Police Information Portal Online Tool (PIPOT) when necessary.
* Gather and compile data and evidence for legal challenges or as directed by the Regional DSL.
* Oversee and record safeguarding training across all sites, ensuring safeguarding is embedded within the organizational culture.
* Assist with reporting, follow-up, and oversight of High Profile Notifications (HPNs), providing feedback to the DSL.
* Verify that cases are appropriately signposted and that correct referrals are completed.
* Collaboration & Communication:
* Collaborate closely with the Regional DSL and team members.
* Attend meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
* Provide on-the-job training and support to team members.
* Provide cover for other staff as directed by the line manager.
* Maintain up to date communication both written and verbal.
* Professional Development & Compliance:
* Monitor personal work levels, progress, and development.
* Participate in required learning and development programs.
* Adhere to data protection and confidentiality agreements.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation.
* Act as a positive role model.
* Other Duties:
* Perform other duties within the scope of responsibility and ability, including supporting other company projects.
Essential Skills & Experience:
o Proven experience in safeguarding quality assurance.
o In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practices.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
o Ability to work independently and manage 1 a remote workload.
o Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
