About the Role
As an Investor Account Executive, you will spend your time speaking to some of the most exciting and active investors in the UK to learn about their investment strategy and promote the advantages of the SeedLegals platform. You'll take on a dynamic 360° role, nurturing relationships with existing investors whilst proactively sourcing new opportunities through outbound initiatives. You'll be the driving force in growing our investor base, connecting their needs with our cutting-edge solutions, and contributing directly to our mission of streamlining investment processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will be responsible for directly engaging with VCs, syndicates, and angel investors to proactively identify and source new opportunities, expanding SeedLegals' network through outbound initiatives.
2. Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing & new investors, ensuring they see continued value in our platform.
3. Present tailored solutions to investors, enhancing their investment processes with tools like term sheet automation and portfolio management.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Sales) to deliver seamless customer experiences.
5. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed targets.
6. Represent SeedLegals at investor-focused events, fostering partnerships and raising brand awareness.
7. Provide feedback on product improvements and market trends to align our offerings with investor needs.
8. Build an in-depth knowledge of the UK startup and fundraising scene through regular event attendance, research, training, and exposure to investors and serial entrepreneurs.
Minimum Requirements
1. 2+ years of experience in sales or business development within the investment or startup ecosystem.
2. A deep understanding of the UK startup and investment landscape.
3. Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting to closing.
4. Strong relationship-building skills with a knack for understanding customer needs.
5. A proactive, target-driven mindset with a passion for identifying new opportunities.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Experience with sales methodologies like MEDDIC is a plus but not essential.
8. An existing network of VCs and investors is a strong plus but not essential.
