About the Enabler role : In this engaging and hands-on role, you will connect our collections with our key audiences such as schools, families and communities both in person and online. working independently within a small team, every day is a new adventure and opportunity to share inclusive and creative programmes and activities with our diverse audience and visitors. As an Enabler at National Museums Scotland you will : Deliver a range of inclusive and creative programmes, activities and events for a diverse range of audiences from schools to families and communities Collaborate with a range of colleagues to ensure effective operational planning and delivery of events and activities Animate across online, on-site and community spaces offering creative engagement and participatory experiences for established and new audiences and communities Supervise and support freelance staff and volunteers involved in the delivery of programmes and events, when appropriate Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes, to ensure they meet visitor needs and operational requirements. Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Enabler : Experience of working in either a museum, gallery, learning organisation, cultural sector or visitor attraction Ability to plan and schedule effectively Ability to demonstrate an exceptional standard of customer service through well-established and effective communication skills CT skills in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook Experience of using digital technology to devise and/or deliver engaging experiences for a range of audiences.
