Your tasks:
1. Responsible to ensure that existing and new installations are completed in accordance with environmental health and safety regulations; delegated persons are duly educated in appropriate due diligence responsibilities.
2. Responsible for implementing improvements that drive sustainability in relation to Health, Safety, Energy, and Environment.
3. Ensure that relevant risk assessments, awareness, and training are in place for the various chemicals and materials that are used within the operations.
4. Responsible for conducting internal audits and coordinating external auditor activities on site and ensuring the follow-up of the resulting actions through containment, root cause, and countermeasure. Also supporting central functions with regional responsibilities.
5. Ensure that system documents (e.g., legal register, document control matrix, environmental program, environmental objectives, ARGUS action plan, health and environmental protection organizational chart, equipment register, waste matrix, licensing register, etc.) are kept up-to-date and support the organization’s environmental objectives both locally and globally.
6. Advise on all issues relating to occupational health and safety and accident prevention, particularly in terms of: Planning, designing, and maintaining operational equipment and recreational/sanitary facilities; designing work areas, work procedures, the working environment, and other ergonomic aspects; procuring technical resources and introducing operating procedures and materials; and selecting and testing personal protective equipment.
7. Inspecting facilities, reporting any shortcomings, and suggesting remedial action.
8. Investigating and documenting incidents and accidents in the workplace and using problem-solving methodology to define sustainable actions to reduce incidents and accidents.
9. Design and implement health, safety, energy, and environmental training courses.
10. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines including Brose code of conduct, FIRST, IDEAS, health and safety, environment, quality, discipline, grievance, and equal opportunities.
Your Profile:
1. Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
2. 3-5 years relevant work experience in Health and Safety in the Manufacturing industry.
3. NEBOSH certificate.
4. Have a proven track record of improving health and safety culture within the business.
5. Be able to multitask and support other departments.
6. Good communication and able to work independently and be confident in decision-making.
7. Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
