About the job As Stores Coordinator you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stores operations, achieving high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction. You will manage and monitor stock control as well as managing and distributing equipment and material to frontline operation. You will support the Stores Supervisor with tendering and purchasing exercises ensuring equipment is suitable for frontline operations. What We Are Looking For From You The successful candidate will have direct experience of working in a stores environment with management of audit and stock control. You will have experience of Health & Safety in the workplace as well as excellent communication and organisation skills. In addition, the successful candidate will have excellent numerical skills and be IT literate in most Microsoft packages including Excel. The post holder must be prepared to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the Service. This will include being contracted to work Bank Holiday Mondays, Good Friday including any catch up weekends following Bank holiday, Christmas and New Year periods – to support frontline staff. Posts are fixed hours to maintain stores opening hours. Fixed hours to be discussed with the successful candidate Additional information You will be able to quickly adapt to technologies used by the service. You will need to understand and operate in line with Council Policies and Procedures. You must maintain the reputation of the Council by adopting a professional and courteous approach.
