Key Responsibilities for Nursery Manager include: Leadership and Management: Lead, inspire, and support the nursery team to deliver outstanding childcare and education. Ensure the nursery operates in line with the company’s ethos, policies, and procedures. Act as the designated safeguarding lead, promoting a safe and secure environment for all children. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards. Manage nursery budgets, occupancy levels, and resources effectively to achieve business goals. Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and operations in line with regulatory requirements. Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring high standards of practice and performance. Conduct regular appraisals, supervisions, and team meetings to support staff well-being and professional growth. Parent Partnership: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring effective communication about their child’s progress and development. Handle enquiries, tours, and admissions processes professionally to promote the nursery’s reputation. Childcare and Education: Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to ensure the nursery provides an exceptional experience for all children. To apply for the role of Nursery Manager you will require the following: Essential Criteria: Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or above). Proven experience in a management or leadership role within an early years setting. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, children, and families. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable Criteria: Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
