Job Description
As an Intern Motorsport Engineer within the team, you will be responsible for:
1. Assist current Motorsport Engineers in technical support and project coordination for customers
2. Extra support to the customer with troubleshooting, system start up, test and racetrack support
3. Aiding the Engineers with commercial processes and the acquisition of new projects
4. System design for Motorsport projects on the engine and chassis sides
5. Configuration of the Bosch Motorsport electronics (display, body computer, logging system)
6. Calibration of ECU/VCU and other Bosch Motorsport hardware
Qualifications
Studying for an undergraduate or Masters degree and required to take a placement as part of your course.
1. Studying Automotive, motorsport or mechanical engineering degree (Achieving 2:1 or higher)
2. Knowledge of engine hardware, combustion theory and thermodynamics for high-performance engines
3. Knowledge of direct injection and spark topics
4. Knowledge of network communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Etc)
5. Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
6. Assertiveness, ready to work under pressure and good organization
7. Fluent in English
8. Readiness to travel in the UK and worldwide, readiness to work on weekends
Additional Information
This is a 13-month internship beginning in July 2025. This position is open to undergraduates or Masters students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.
