Role Overview
The primary responsibility is data processing of medical slides for research and medical facilities. The role involves checking, cataloguing, and entering high volumes of alphanumeric medical data for use in reports. Accuracy and typing speed are essential.
Candidates with a background in medical terminology-such as former teachers, nurses, lab technicians, medical secretaries, or science graduates-are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Process and catalogue medical samples received from hospitals and medical centres across the UK.
Ensure efficient turnaround of all cases, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and risk assessments relevant to the role.
Participate in audits to support ongoing quality improvement.
Ensure data security and confidentiality of patient and staff information.
Technology & Administration
Use various computer programs to manage data entry and administrative tasks.
Input large volumes of data accurately into the system, maintaining patient records.
Unpack, process, and repackage medical slides for return to hospitals.
Key Skills & Requirements
High accuracy and strong typing skills
Background in medical or scientific fields (preferred)
Training and supervision provided
Working Hours
Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (30-minute lunch break)
