We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker, on a 1-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £18.66 - £25.51 per hour
Summary:
The Social Worker (Band B) is responsible for assessing complex individual needs and initiating a range of interventions to meet those needs, in alignment with strength-based, rights-based, and person-centered social work practices. The role requires autonomous decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and safeguarding responsibilities while promoting independence, choice, and control for service users.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a complex caseload, including assessment, planning, and reviewing support for individuals with diverse needs.
* Undertake assessments using various tools, including those required for continuing healthcare.
* Identify and facilitate access to Reablement and preventative services.
* Promote independence and delay the need for long-term care through a Strength-Based Approach.
* Liaise with service providers, community resources, and support networks to deliver optimal outcomes.
Qualifications:
* A Social Work qualification recognised by the Health and Care Profession Council (HCPC).
* Registered with Social Work England or equivalent body and evidence of continuous professional development.
* Additional qualifications or training relevant to the service area, for example, British Sign Language, blind / deaf qualification.
Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in handling complex social work cases.
* Experience in team collaboration and mentoring.
* Skilled in risk assessment, safeguarding investigations, and case documentation.
* Experience in negotiating with stakeholders to meet individual needs.
* Familiarity with IT systems and reporting tools.
* Experience as a Safeguarding Enquiry Officer.
