SEND Operations Manager
3-6 months starting January 2025
Day rate £500/day
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Southwest based local authority – hybrid working (up to 3 days onsite)

Reporting to the Head of SEND you will lead impactful SEND initiatives and contribute to meaningful outcomes for children and families.
Your Role as a SEND Operations Manager:
1. Lead an effective SEN statutory service
2. Oversee High Needs Block spend, with monthly reporting and forecasting
3. Ensure contracted provisions deliver high-quality, value-for-money outcomes for SEND learners
4. Develop innovative commissioning strategies aligned with SEND Improvement goals
5. Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve SEND services and long-term outcomes.
6. Manage Personal Budget processes and ensure compliance with legislation
Your previous experience as a SEND Operations Manager:
1. Up-to-date with national legislation and SEND statutory responsibilities
2. Proven experience in commissioning, budget management, and performance monitoring
3. Strong leadership in strategic SEND operations, with project and contract management expertise within a local authority setting (Service manager or Head of Service)
4. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
