Teacher of DT - Textiles
Protocol Education are working with a Wiltshire based secondary school to appoint a Teacher of Design and Technology (Textiles Specialism) on a Fixed Term Maternity Leave Cover with an Easter Start date.
Start Date: Easter 2025. Potential to start earlier if needed.
Ends: Monday 27th January 2025
Hours: Full time. Teaching requirements.
The school is commutable from Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath and Bristol with good public transport links in and out.
The Design & Technology Faculty consists of nine specialist teachers and three technicians. Within this team, there are areas of particular responsibility for the curriculum, under the overall management of the Head of Faculty.
Design and Technology has an important role to play in the lives of our students, and they are supported by an excellent D&T team. The teaching and learning takes place in a wonderful purpose-built environment which has excellent design and make facilities. The school's Roll of Honour Board logs the increasing number of students who have achieved excellent exam results and who have chosen to follow a career in design.
Experience
1. Proven experience teaching DT Textiles at secondary school level.
2. Experience working with Children/Young People within education or similar field (coaching, youth work, etc).
3. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
