Position: Communications Advisor Location: Lisburn Salary: £19.75/hr Contract: Temporary, 4 months (with the possibility of extension) Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Apple Recruitment is excited to assist a growing organisation in recruiting a Communications Advisor to join their Corporate Communications team in Lisburn. This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional to work across internal, external, and digital platforms while supporting strategic communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Corporate Communications Manager to deliver effective communication strategies for both internal and external audiences.
* Manage media relations, press office functions, and draft news releases, media statements, and briefings.
* Assist with crisis communications, safety campaigns, social media content, and website updates.
* Support stakeholder engagement, including political representatives and key internal/external partners.
* Develop and execute communication plans for internal campaigns and initiatives, ensuring consistency and engagement across all channels.
* Create and implement digital content, monitor social media metrics, and provide regular reports.
* Support and represent the Communications team at internal and external meetings and committees.
Essential Criteria:
* A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Communications, Advertising, PR, Journalism, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a corporate communications environment.
* Proven ability to manage media relations in a busy press office environment.
* Experience creating communication plans and campaigns across multiple platforms.
* Strong relationship-building skills with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
* A full, current UK driving license or access to transport.
Desirable Criteria:
* Postgraduate qualification in Communications or related field.
* Experience working within public sector communications or press office.
Additional Information: The role will require flexibility, including the possibility of working outside of standard hours. The successful candidate will be expected to provide media training, contribute to the development of strategic communications, and support various organisational projects.
